👋🏻 Helen here, checking in on my goals for 2025 since we are halfway through the year. Four years ago, I began following Gretchen Rubin’s practice of setting goals for the year. While 25 things to get done is a long list, I organize it by theme and have a mix of aspirational, practical and recurring activities that I want to focus my time on. I also give myself permission to add and remove items as life changes or I learn more about how much I like the goal I have set.
This is the first year when I am doing this during my “power pause” as I started my own business as a coach and stepped away from being a Product leader. So my progress came easier and faster on many of these then in years past.
So below is where I am!
Professional development (1-5)

❓Bonus - I don’t know what this year will bring professionally, so leaving a blank space for growth. - (NEW) Experiment with 2-3 roundtables and group coaching sessions - 🛠️ (In progress)
Community (6-9)
🎗️Join a non-profit board - ✅ - I am going to be Co-President of Peter Kirk Elementary’s PTSA next year, and I am honored to lead this organization of amazing parents, student,s and teachers
🍞 Bake bread with Community Loaves once a month - 🛑 I have chosen to pause my efforts here since I’ve taken on other community involvement roles.

Health Habits(21-25)

🛜 Less Social Media - ⏳ (Not started) - My plan was to have two 30-day periods of limited or no social media, but I have not made it a priority so far this year.
📔 Journal Daily - 🌀 (Changed) I realized this wasn’t serving me as intended and was feeling like a chore. So instead, I now own a coloring book + journal hybrid as well as some free writing notebooks. I am enjoying this approach a lot more even though it’s not a daily habit as I had intended.
